Ingredients
- 2 cups plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- 2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
- 1 1/2 cups fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp lemon zest
Instructions
- 1Add the Greek yogurt and vanilla whey protein powder to a medium mixing bowl.
- 2Whisk vigorously for about 1 minute until the powder fully dissolves and the yogurt turns thick, smooth, and slightly fluffy with no dry clumps.
- 3Stir in the chia seeds and ground cinnamon until evenly distributed throughout the yogurt base.
- 4Divide the thickened yogurt mixture evenly between two serving bowls, spreading it into an even layer.
- 5Rinse the mixed berries under cool water and pat them dry with a clean towel.
- 6Scatter the berries generously over the yogurt in each bowl, pressing a few lightly into the surface so they stay put.
- 7Sprinkle the sliced almonds and lemon zest across the top of both bowls for crunch and brightness.
- 8Drizzle honey lightly over each bowl in a thin zigzag pattern.
- 9Serve immediately for peak texture, or cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours for a grab-and-go muscle-building breakfast.
- 10If prepping ahead, add the almonds just before eating so they stay crisp.
