Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. 1Line a small rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper so the bark will release cleanly later.
  2. 2Peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds about 1/4-inch thick; arrange the slices in a single overlapping layer on the parchment.
  3. 3Hull the strawberries and slice them thinly; scatter the slices evenly over the banana layer so every bite will have fruit.
  4. 4Place the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until fully melted and glossy.
  5. 5Drizzle or pour the melted chocolate over the fruit layer, using the back of a spoon to spread it into a thin, even coat that covers most of the fruit.
  6. 6Sprinkle the flaky sea salt lightly across the top while the chocolate is still wet.
  7. 7Transfer the sheet to the freezer and freeze uncovered for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is completely hard and the fruit is frozen solid.
  8. 8Break or cut the bark into irregular pieces, store in an airtight container in the freezer, and grab pieces straight from the cold for a quick sweet snack.
