Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/8 tsp pinch of kosher salt
- 20–24 large marshmallows
- 12 full sheets, broken into sticks graham crackers
- 1 cup, hulled fresh strawberries
- 1 cup pretzel rods
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 450°F with a rack in the upper-middle position. Place a 10-inch cast-iron skillet on the stovetop over low heat.
- 2Add the butter to the warm skillet and swirl until melted. Scatter the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips in an even layer and drizzle the condensed milk over the top; sprinkle with the salt.
- 3Warm on low for 1 to 2 minutes just until the chips at the edges begin to look glossy, then remove from heat—do not stir yet so the layer stays even.
- 4Arrange the marshmallows snugly over the chocolate in a single layer, covering as much surface as possible for that classic s’mores look.
- 5Transfer the skillet to the hot oven and bake 5 to 8 minutes, until the marshmallows are deeply golden and puffed with some dark toasted spots. For extra char, broil 30 to 60 seconds, watching constantly.
- 6Carefully remove the skillet (handle will be extremely hot) and let it sit 2 minutes so the chocolate finishes melting underneath into a scoopable pool.
- 7Set the skillet on a trivet in the center of the table with graham sticks, strawberries, and pretzel rods arranged it for dipping.
- 8Instruct guests to scoop through marshmallow into molten chocolate. If the dip thickens as it cools, return the skillet to a 300°F oven for 3 to 4 minutes to loosen.
