- 2 lb beef stew meat, cubedMeat
- 3 large yellow onions, thinly slicedProduce

- 8–10 baguette slices, toastedBakery

Instructions
- 1Brown beef; set aside. Caramelize onions in butter 25–30 minutes. Stir in flour, then broth, wine, and thyme.
- 2Return beef; simmer covered until nearly tender (or pressure cook). Transfer to a casserole.
- 3Top with baguette slices and Gruyère.
- 4Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and browned.
