Ingredients

  • 2 large, sliced frozen bananas
  • 2 scoops (about 50 g) vanilla protein powder
  • 3 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • ¾ cup, plus more if needed unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • ¼ cup for topping granola
  • ½ banana fresh banana slices
  • 1 tbsp for drizzle extra peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp optional cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. 1Add the frozen banana slices, protein powder, peanut butter, almond milk, and Greek yogurt to a high-speed blender.
  2. 2Blend on high, stopping to scrape down the sides once or twice, until the mixture is ultra-thick and spoonable like soft-serve, 45 to 60 seconds. If it is too stiff, add a splash more almond milk and blend again briefly.
  3. 3Taste and adjust thickness; the goal is a texture that holds peaks and does not pour like a drink.
  4. 4Divide the smoothie base evenly between two bowls, using the back of a spoon to create a shallow well in the center if desired.
  5. 5Sprinkle chia seeds over each bowl.
  6. 6Arrange fresh banana slices and granola on top in neat rows or clusters.
  7. 7Warm the extra peanut butter for 10 seconds in the microwave so it drizzles easily, then zigzag it over the bowls.
  8. 8Finish with cacao nibs if using. Serve immediately with a spoon while still frozen-thick.
