Spiced Citrus Posset with Soft Ship-Biscuit Crumble

A chilled milk posset brightened with lemon, orange, and black pepper, finished with a soft molasses ship-biscuit crumble. It echoes the hardtack Endeavour's crew favored over sauerkraut in Cabbage Against the Long Horizon, Cook's long Pacific passage.
