Ingredients
- 3 medium ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt
Instructions
- 1Peel the bananas and slice them into thick 1/2-inch rounds.
- 2Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate that fits in your freezer.
- 3Freeze the banana rounds until firm, about 20–25 minutes.
- 4Meanwhile, place the dark chocolate chips and almond milk in a small microwave-safe bowl.
- 5Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- 6Stir the natural peanut butter into the melted chocolate until combined and glossy.
- 7Remove the frozen banana slices from the freezer.
- 8Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each banana round halfway into the chocolate-peanut butter mixture, letting excess drip off.
- 9Place the dipped bites back on the parchment.
- 10While the coating is still wet, sprinkle lightly with chia seeds and a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt.
- 11Return the tray to the freezer for 10 more minutes until the chocolate shell sets hard.
- 12Transfer bites to an airtight container and keep frozen; enjoy straight from the freezer for a cold, portion-controlled treat.
