Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the bananas and slice them into thick 1/2-inch rounds.
  2. 2Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate that fits in your freezer.
  3. 3Freeze the banana rounds until firm, about 20–25 minutes.
  4. 4Meanwhile, place the dark chocolate chips and almond milk in a small microwave-safe bowl.
  5. 5Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  6. 6Stir the natural peanut butter into the melted chocolate until combined and glossy.
  7. 7Remove the frozen banana slices from the freezer.
  8. 8Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each banana round halfway into the chocolate-peanut butter mixture, letting excess drip off.
  9. 9Place the dipped bites back on the parchment.
  10. 10While the coating is still wet, sprinkle lightly with chia seeds and a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt.
  11. 11Return the tray to the freezer for 10 more minutes until the chocolate shell sets hard.
  12. 12Transfer bites to an airtight container and keep frozen; enjoy straight from the freezer for a cold, portion-controlled treat.
