Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 2 scoops (about 50 g) vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tsp ceremonial or culinary matcha powder
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/8 tsp pinch of kosher salt

Instructions

  1. 1Add almond milk to the blender first so the blades move freely. Drop in the frozen banana (break into chunks if large), protein powder, matcha powder, almond butter, Greek yogurt, honey, salt, and ice.
  2. 2Blend on high 45–60 seconds, stopping once to scrape down the sides if needed, until completely smooth, vibrant green, and frothy with no matcha clumps.
  3. 3Taste and adjust sweetness with an extra drizzle of honey if desired; blend 5 more seconds to incorporate.
  4. 4Pour into two tall chilled glasses. If the smoothie is thicker than you like, splash in 1–2 extra tablespoons almond milk and stir.
  5. 5Optional: dust the tops with a tiny pinch of matcha or a few sliced almonds for visual appeal. Serve immediately with a wide straw while icy cold.
