Ingredients
- 2 cups chocolate ice cream
- 1 1/2 cups strawberry ice cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 3 tbsp chocolate syrup
- 2 tbsp strawberry jam
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup ice cubes
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips
- 4 sliced strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- 1Freeze two tall glasses for 10 minutes to create a frosty canvas for the swirl effect.
- 2Hull the fresh strawberries and roughly chop them, setting a few slices aside for garnish.
- 3In the blender, combine the chocolate ice cream, half the milk, chocolate syrup, and half the ice cubes.
- 4Blend the chocolate base for 20 seconds until thick and smooth, then pour it into a pitcher and rinse the blender quickly.
- 5Add the strawberry ice cream, remaining milk, chopped strawberries, strawberry jam, vanilla extract, and remaining ice to the clean blender.
- 6Blend the strawberry mixture for 20 to 25 seconds until bright pink and fully smooth.
- 7Retrieve the chilled glasses and drizzle a little extra chocolate syrup inside each glass in a spiral pattern so it sticks to the cold sides.
- 8Simultaneously pour the chocolate and strawberry mixtures into each glass from opposite sides, letting them marble naturally as they meet.
- 9Use a long spoon or butter knife to gently swirl once or twice for a dramatic ribbon effect without fully mixing.
- 10Top each shake with whipped cream.
- 11Scatter mini chocolate chips and the reserved strawberry slices over the cream.
- 12Serve at once with straws so every sip shows off the chocolate-strawberry contrast.
