Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Good & Plenty candy
  • 1 tbsp black cocoa powder
  • 1/8 tsp pinch of fine salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. 1Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides so you can lift the fudge out later. Lightly grease the parchment so the fudge releases cleanly.
  2. 2Chop two-thirds of the Good & Plenty into small pieces so they distribute through the fudge; leave the rest whole for topping. Set both piles aside.
  3. 3In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter with the sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly until the butter disappears and the mixture looks glossy and smooth.
  4. 4Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and black cocoa powder. Keep the heat low and stir until every chip melts and the mixture turns thick, shiny, and deeply dark.
  5. 5Remove the pan from heat. Stir in the vanilla and salt, then immediately fold in the chopped Good & Plenty so the pink and white pieces are evenly scattered without melting completely.
  6. 6Scrape the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Press the remaining whole Good & Plenty across the surface in a dense candy mosaic.
  7. 7Melt the white chocolate chips in short microwave bursts, stirring between each, until fluid. Drizzle the white chocolate over the fudge in thin zigzags so the pink and white candies still show.
  8. 8Let the pan sit at room temperature 20 minutes, then refrigerate at least 2 hours until the fudge is firm enough to cut cleanly.
  9. 9Lift the slab out by the parchment. Cut into small bite-size squares with a warm knife, wiping the blade between cuts so edges stay neat.
  10. 10Serve chilled or slightly cool. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge so the licorice stays chewy and the fudge stays set.
