Ingredients

  • 4 (6-oz each) salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves, minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2, sliced (for garnish) green onions
  • 4 (for serving) lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. 1Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with paprika, black pepper, and salt if desired.
  2. 2In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice until well combined. Set aside.
  3. 3Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. 4Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if they have skin. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden and crisp.
  5. 5Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side.
  6. 6Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon in the pan. Spoon the sauce over the tops of the fillets as it bubbles.
  7. 7Continue cooking for 3-4 more minutes, basting frequently, until the salmon is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 145°F) and the sauce has thickened into a glaze. Avoid overcooking to keep it moist.
  8. 8Remove from heat. Garnish with sliced green onions.
  9. 9Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side. Pair with rice, broccoli, or a simple salad for a complete meal.
