Ingredients
- 4 (6-oz each) salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves, minced garlic
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2, sliced (for garnish) green onions
- 4 (for serving) lemon wedges
Instructions
- 1Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with paprika, black pepper, and salt if desired.
- 2In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice until well combined. Set aside.
- 3Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- 4Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if they have skin. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden and crisp.
- 5Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side.
- 6Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon in the pan. Spoon the sauce over the tops of the fillets as it bubbles.
- 7Continue cooking for 3-4 more minutes, basting frequently, until the salmon is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 145°F) and the sauce has thickened into a glaze. Avoid overcooking to keep it moist.
- 8Remove from heat. Garnish with sliced green onions.
- 9Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side. Pair with rice, broccoli, or a simple salad for a complete meal.
