  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 6 anchovy fillets
  • 1/3 cup green olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup chickpeas
  • 1 tsp black pepper

  3. 3Meanwhile, thinly slice the garlic and onion and gently heat them with the anchovies in the olive oil in a large skillet until the anchovies melt and the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

  5. 5Transfer the undercooked pasta directly into the skillet along with pasta water and finish cooking while tossing vigorously until the sauce coats the pasta.
