Buttered Rye Porridge with Stewed Apples
Creamy rye flakes simmered soft, finished with butter, white pepper, and honeyed stewed apples. A simple breakfast that echoes everyday tables beside Bryggen’s wind-cured stockfish racks in this Hanseatic Bergen chapter, c. 1480.
