Ingredients
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 2 ripe pears, diced
- 1/3 cup chopped toasted pecans
- 1 pinch of kosher salt
Instructions
- 1In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, black pepper, and salt until the spices are fully dispersed and the mixture looks smooth.
- 2Stir in the rolled oats and chia seeds until every oat is coated. Fold in half of the diced pears so they are evenly distributed.
- 3Divide the mixture evenly among four jars or airtight containers (about 1 cup each). Press the remaining diced pears gently on top of each portion.
- 4Seal the jars and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight so the oats soften and the chia thickens the mixture into a pudding-like texture.
- 5In the morning, give each jar a good stir. If the oats seem too thick, loosen with a splash of milk until creamy.
- 6Top each serving with a spoonful of toasted pecans for crunch. Taste and add an extra drizzle of maple if you prefer it sweeter.
- 7Eat cold straight from the jar for busy weekdays, or microwave 45–60 seconds if you want them warm. The chai spices and pear make it taste like dessert for breakfast.
