ThemedBreakfastAmericanNational Food DayCelebrateBowlPeanut Butter
Ingredients
- 3 large frozen ripe bananas
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
- 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- 1 fresh banana slices
- 1/3 cup granola
- 2 tbsp roasted peanuts, chopped
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp extra peanut butter for drizzle
Instructions
- 1Add the frozen bananas, peanut butter, milk, Greek yogurt, honey, flaxseed, and ice to a high-powered blender.
- 2Blend on high, stopping to scrape the sides as needed, until the mixture is extremely thick, creamy, and spoonable like soft-serve.
- 3If the blender stalls, add just a splash more milk and pulse again; keep the texture dense so it holds toppings.
- 4Divide the smoothie base between two chilled bowls, smoothing the tops with the back of a spoon.
- 5Arrange fresh banana slices in a neat row across each bowl.
- 6Scatter granola and chopped roasted peanuts over the surface for crunch.
- 7Sprinkle chia seeds lightly across the top.
- 8Warm the extra peanut butter for a few seconds so it becomes pourable, then drizzle it in zigzags over both bowls.
- 9Serve immediately with a spoon while the base is still frosty and thick.
- 10Enjoy as a filling breakfast or post-workout treat that puts peanut butter front and center.
