Ingredients
- 4 large ripe peaches
- 1/3 cup packed fresh basil leaves
- 1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1 large frozen banana
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/8 tsp pinch of salt
- 2 tsp optional chia seeds for topping
Instructions
- 1Wash the peaches thoroughly, then halve, pit, and roughly chop them into chunks that will blend easily.
- 2Place the peach chunks, torn basil leaves, Greek yogurt, almond milk, frozen banana pieces, honey, lemon juice, and pinch of salt into a high-speed blender.
- 3Add the ice cubes on top so they pull the fruit down toward the blades.
- 4Secure the lid and blend on low for 10 seconds to break up the larger pieces, then ramp to high speed.
- 5Blend 45 to 60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth, pale peach-colored, and flecked with tiny green basil bits. Stop and scrape the sides once if needed.
- 6Taste the smoothie; it should taste bright and peach-forward with a gentle herbal lift. Add a splash more almond milk if you prefer it thinner.
- 7Pour evenly into four chilled glasses. The texture should be thick enough to coat a spoon yet still sippable.
- 8If using, sprinkle a few chia seeds over each glass for a little crunch and visual contrast.
- 9Serve right away with short straws or spoons so the basil aroma stays vivid and the drink does not separate.
- 10Rinse the blender promptly with warm water so peach fibers and basil oils do not cling.
