Ingredients
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
- 2 medium firm sweet-tart apples
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/3 cup rolled oats or granola
- 3 tbsp sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch pinch of sea salt
- optional garnish fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- 1Core the apples and cut them into thin matchsticks or small dice so they stay crisp and easy to spoon.
- 2In a small bowl, toss the cut apples with lemon juice, half the cinnamon, and a drizzle of honey so they lightly glaze and stay bright.
- 3In another bowl, stir the Greek yogurt with vanilla, the remaining cinnamon, salt, and the rest of the honey until smooth and lightly sweetened.
- 4Taste the yogurt and adjust cinnamon or sweetness so the spice is warm but not overpowering.
- 5Spoon the spiced yogurt into two serving bowls, creating a smooth base.
- 6Arrange the cinnamon-kissed apple pieces generously over the yogurt so every bite gets fresh fruit.
- 7Sprinkle the oats or granola evenly for crunch, then scatter the sliced almonds and chia seeds on top.
- 8Let the bowls sit 2 to 3 minutes so the chia softens slightly and the flavors settle together.
- 9If using mint, tear a few leaves over the top for a fresh finish.
- 10Serve immediately while the apples are still crisp and the yogurt is cool and creamy, or chill briefly if you prefer it colder.
