Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups low-moisture mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3 oz pepperoni slices
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or heavy baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
- 2Dust a pizza peel or parchment-lined sheet with cornmeal or flour.
- 3Roll or stretch the dough into a 14-inch circle on the peel, keeping the edges slightly thicker.
- 4Brush the dough lightly with olive oil.
- 5Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
- 6Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
- 7Arrange pepperoni slices over the cheese in a single layer.
- 8Sprinkle dried oregano and grated Parmesan over the top.
- 9Carefully slide the pizza onto the hot stone or preheated sheet in the oven.
- 10Bake 12-15 minutes until crust is golden, cheese is bubbly, and pepperoni is crisp.
- 11Remove from oven, let rest 2 minutes, then slice into 8 pieces.
- 12Serve immediately.
