Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups low-moisture mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3 oz pepperoni slices
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or heavy baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2Dust a pizza peel or parchment-lined sheet with cornmeal or flour.
  3. 3Roll or stretch the dough into a 14-inch circle on the peel, keeping the edges slightly thicker.
  4. 4Brush the dough lightly with olive oil.
  5. 5Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  6. 6Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
  7. 7Arrange pepperoni slices over the cheese in a single layer.
  8. 8Sprinkle dried oregano and grated Parmesan over the top.
  9. 9Carefully slide the pizza onto the hot stone or preheated sheet in the oven.
  10. 10Bake 12-15 minutes until crust is golden, cheese is bubbly, and pepperoni is crisp.
  11. 11Remove from oven, let rest 2 minutes, then slice into 8 pieces.
