Ingredients
- 1 medium head green cabbage
- 12 oz smoked sausage
- 1.5 lbs potatoes
- 1 large yellow onion
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- 1Cut cabbage into wedges, slice onion, and cut smoked sausage into 1-inch pieces.
- 2Layer cabbage, onion, and sausage in a large pot with water, vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
- 3Cover and braise on low heat for 50 minutes until cabbage is very tender.
- 4Meanwhile boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, then drain and toss with butter.
- 5Serve cabbage and sausage with the buttered boiled potatoes.
