
Weeknight Margherita-Style Sheet-Pan Pizza

Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough ball
- 1 1/2 cups canned crushed tomatoes
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 3 garlic cloves
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 anchovy fillets
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 475°F with a rimmed steel or heavy sheet pan inside for at least 20 minutes.
- 2Stretch or roll the dough to fit the hot sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil, and spread the crushed tomatoes mixed with minced garlic, dried oregano, and salt in a thin even layer.
- 3Tear the mozzarella into pieces and scatter over the sauce along with the chopped anchovies.
- 4Bake on the bottom rack for 12-15 minutes until the crust is blistered and deeply browned at the edges and the cheese is bubbling.
- 5Remove from oven, scatter fresh basil leaves, and finish with a final drizzle of the remaining olive oil before slicing.
